This is, very likely, the most infomation dense text you'll even wrend out of me.
gThat a mind should be susceptible to persuasion in light of new evidence is not always a good thing. No more than it would be *inherently* good for an inheritance medium to permit changes as a result of new information. It is the very fact of recalcitrance that permits information to accumulate in the course of reproduction of data, rather than being a passive, reactive vessel of contemporary events. Your point is taken, but thank you, I'll keep my stubborn prejudices and obtuse intellect (to some extent) in preference to the necessarily preferably rare highly receptive intelligences.

Here's an analogy from this confused, stupid Canadian. Let's say Canada's Army attacked the Canadian province of Quebequ. We burned poutine restaraunts without considering civilian casualties, Barrel Bombed comedy festivals. We can even assume they used illegal wepaons. It would be reasonable to say "Hey Canada, that's horrible. Suppose an AXIS OF BENEVOLENCE decides the Queen has to go, and the Army disbanded and the Quebequois should call the shots. What's more, Ireland arms the newfies who begin seizing control of Ottowa . Did we assume that the rebels would protect All our politicians shriek ISIS must go, and they'll arm anyone who promises to fight them. But before the devil, but they The Syrian Governent was accused of war crimes, and this supposedly made them the enemy of Syria. *(Note: Syrian Chemical weapons were apparently used by someone. Allegations their use was on the part of Syrian Government could be validated by the agency of acquisition or constructon or purchase, at least suggested by their target - "WMD"s are not defined by the scope of their destruction but by devotion to violentdepravity may readily evince! “Tea parties believe in small government. We believe in returning to the principles of our Founding Fathers. We respect them. We revere them. Shoot me in the head before I stop talking about the Founders. Shoot me in the head if you try to change our government.
I will stand against you and so will millions of others. We believe in something. You in the media and most in Washington don’t. The radicals that you and Washington have co-opted and brought in wearing sheep’s clothing - change the pose. You will get the ends.
You’ve been using them? They believe in communism. They believe and have called for a revolution. You’re going to have to shoot them in the head. But warning, they may shoot you.
They are dangerous because they believe. Karl Marx is their George Washington. You will never change their mind. And if they feel you have lied to them - they’re revolutionaries. Nancy Pelosi, those are the people you should be worried about.
Here is my advice when you’re dealing with people who believe in something that strongly - you take them seriously. You listen to their words and you believe that they will follow up with what they say.
Didn’t we learn that lesson from Usama bin Laden? I heard his warning in 1998. I said on the air at the time, listen to him. We didn’t listen. We didn’t listen to the revolutionaries in Germany, the revolutionaries in Russia or Venezuela or Cuba - no, no, no. They all have one thing in common. They have all called for revolution.
They want to overthrow our entire system of government, and their words say it. Why won’t you believe it?”
It is this particular theory that I had a hard time backing up with facts, until stumbling upon Pino Arlacchi's writings. Arlacchi, a sociologist and leading expert on the Sicilian mafia, points out that in the 1970s and early 1980s the areas of southern Italy with the highest growth rates were those with the lowest levels of both organized and conventional crime, whereas those areas with the greatest mafia presence were the only economically stagnant regions of Italy.

George Chahal,
Wanted: A man of peace. No degree necessary.
The House of Commons put on an impressive display of unified enthusiasm for war. Warlike enthusiasm is contagious. I’m afraid parliament has gone rabid.
• After all the petty snipes and acrimony, like an IRC chatroom with wooden panels and twenty second addresses. What a magnificent relief to have the latest e-celeb. Glamorous man, he’s got housing all over the world. Buying up real estate outside of Ukraine. [he thinks the money’s his.] THey really are over matched by the responsibility they took on.
• Don’t get too caught up in a little breeze. The boss breathing down your neck, s

All that will be necessary is that you are at war. Some people keep score as who is to blame, the ones who feel no undue obligation to litigate what can be done later when the time for peace is now.
There are wars is within. They shape our disposition by paroxyms of silence. But let’s not listen too closely to our own plaudits. Shower them
We were never told about the farcical Minsk agreements, the color revolution, the bombing of civilians in the Ukrainian civil war, the popular support for succession or the operational realities of the military conflict. We are not told about the shuttering of churches and opposition parties in Ukraine.
-
Zelensky spoke to parliament. is there hustling for his own regime.
His perspective on the conflict is understandably manachean. The moral and factual issues were resolved and all Ukraine needed was support and the outlook was good. The audience agreed with everything and the astonishing thing was that not a single person on camera failed to clap. I find the the mechanical unanimity disturbing to the extent I mentally connect wit violence. Everyone, every party are all equally demonstrative.
By contrast Crystia Freeland adorned herself in Ukrainian flags for the occasion. The whole thing was quite perplexing. It was a love fest by parliamentary standards,
They have pledged Hundreds of millions of dollars in assistance towards a phyrric victory. NATOs material contributions have escalated and prolonged the lopsided butchery of our ostensible beneficiaries.
Everyone clapped enthusiastically.
They applaud every claim of moral and strategic certainty. I don’t see anyone who looks prepared to discuss countervailing claims. Subversion rebutted gets heard; a far more efficient defense is blocking access to audiences or evasive rhetoric. [“Putin apologist!”] When Zelensky compares the holodomor to the present invasion, he takes on the indisputable moral high-ground. Nobody standing there needs to hold ground: Everything is done by proxy.
Other people are doing the dying as a result of it, but the politicians get to feel thay
The Ukrainian President will naturally advocate for his own cause. Unreserved assent that Ukraine’s cause is just and Moscow is in the wrong is a slight exaggeration but it’s a polite way of expressing the presumption of friendship.
However, there seems to be a degree of identification inappropriately obligating the government to take Russia as an enemy . If our interests were identical and one was at war while the other was not, we would be forced to conclude that a) The was was unnecessary on the part of one of the parties a1)
If that were true, we would already be at war. Antagonizing Russia is a choice, not a necessity. Having the Ukrainians do the dying is a choice.
Ignoring historical and strategic realities is a rhetorical trope, it does not validate moral certainty - Exactly the opposite. To believe otherwise is juvenile logic. That’s why, we do not make a habit of having children head military operations.
We operate on partial information. A great deal of humility is called for, particularly on the part of those who refuse to acknowledge basic facts.
With all the talk about “our victory”, nobody articulates viable goals. Even stipulating that we have a sufficient pretext to go to war, a strategy is not built on pretext. A pretext is comprised of both the conditions have come into being such that the only viable option of attaining some necessity is military.
So tell me, what is necessary about protecting this particular regime? At this point, it is some combination of a sunk cost rationale and the fact Kiev is totally beholden to NATO countries - which is one of the primary reasons Russia perceived it as a threat.
Propaganda operations are most fruitful on people inclined to believe something based on perceived interests and their information. Media organizations financed by the federal government have dutifully supplied half-truths to fortify public ignorance.
What Parliament has heretofore achieved were easy to predict. Public access to crucial context has been intentionally stifled. They have been brazenly lied to about the military disposition of the combatants. They have no assurances their money is spent for the purposes it was given.
Ukraine: Hundreds of thousands of men have been cut down in the prime of their life. The Ukrainian population has been cut by millions due to by emigration, many of whom are probably never to return. [they don’t seem as certain of victory as Trudope, do they], Its infrastructure is in shambles and reports say demining is a process that can take years.
Russia’s mistrust of NATO has been validated. A hostile alliance has been expanding around it. Neither side can afford to trust the assurances of the other are made in good faith. The political and financial realignment of the world has been accelerated, much to the detriment
What is less clear to me is what animates Canada’s rule. This is not organized by anything resembling statesmanship or strategic thought.
Participants in organized violence who lack an articulate object do not deserve the benefit of the doubt. Given human nature, it can turn from a tool into a defining habit, a contagious habit. Here are three possible reasons for such an omission: Actions are taken on behalf of another party [pressure from the United States], the benefit is too venal to admit publicly [Money laundering or pandering to an ethnic voting bloc] or the acts are of a spiritual and psychological nature.
The Canadian government is closely bound to the American economy and culture. However, this war in Ukraine and the tension with India shows loyalties can be fatally divided. A rough guess on the game: Tribal identification will become stronger. I’m curious how this will affect Jewish groups. People who have “their kind” have an enormous advantage over in an atomized populace. This was precisely why Jewish interests are said to be served by destruction of the family and of faith institutions.
There will be a population of Mixed race individuals, but if I am correct, there is more incentive to bond strongly via religion or even politics [Looking for yourself Kalergi?] . [As the demography shifts, those ready to fight for it will be of a mercenary bent. The state is a cold thing for true believers unless, as with Islam, it is combined with a spiritual tradition. Therefore, tribal loyalty will become a more salient part of political life.]
Our government has now proved willing to participate in wars at the behest of domestic constituencies. The power of central government is being ‘borrowed’ by ethnic groups. This represents tribe playing a fairly direct role in foreign policy[!]. Perhaps central government will become firmer in respects to keep the peace. It will certainly affect the ability to act as a coherent entity on the international scale. But in the era of global computer networks, the international is right next door.
I began this essay with psychological observations of Parliamentary proceedings. Let me end with an observation about
I believe most of them are heavily invested in their own bullshit, but in their heart of hearts, I doubt even one can entirely reconcile themselves to the belief. They certainly cannot behave consistently with their official “position”, however much of other people’s money they spend.
We are often told we are certain to prevail, yet NATO governments have produced very little resembling strategic analysis. This is a red flag.
This is just a way of saying that
is has drawn far ahead o, including basic questions about the nature of our involvement.

Applause can be distracting and hypnotic. Everyone claps at the same time. Pretty much at the same strength, other than frieland who’s clapping a third harder and her pantsuit a third too flamboyantly emblazoned with Ukrainian colors.
• Surely someone understood him differently. Surely some people are lithe, some people easy going, others high strung. But they all imitate each-other’s physical gestures.
Are we even situated to assess? There’s other facets in the course of events. Analogizing the specter of the Holodomor does not itself render it functionally Isomorphic. It can be part of a pattern and yet exactly that provides hints from experience about how to approach war.
Things can get very contagious. Boys, do not get complacent because a reverse lookup execution can be industrialized.

You never explained why else little cartoon targets on a map are relevant to reporting the news of the massacre - letting others make that connection for you. You didn't use it in the context of explaining the irrational hysteria that has been sparked. It appears you intended to reinforce the innuendo that somehow the right wing is uniquely responsible for the bloodshed.
As a matter of fact, young Loughner was preoccupied with the congresswoman before Palin was on the national radar. (Pardon the military terminology) Not only have you injected politics into your reporting and failed to provide your readers with relevant information - this is only to be expected from the CBC - but you haven't even the competence to lie.
You appear not to have informed yourself before distorting the story. This sort of article puts the lie to your pseudoscientific study which "demonstrate" your editorial balance.

What liberals often forget is that punishment is an integral part of the rehabilitation process. I think Dostoyevsky was quite right in Crime and Punishment to see punishment as a part of the redemptive process.
Conservatives fall prey to the idea that we can sequester evildoing without taking responsibility for reintegration. This is both irrational and self-defeating. We tend to see prison as a final solution. But if we are really determined to find a final solution, there is a better one, which is tested and true.
I am open to the possibility of mass slaughter of criminal elements and undesirables. You may laugh and consider this a joke, but I do not. We are a society where the liberals slaughter children for convenience. I am not so deluded as to think Conservatives of the one and same society are so superior as they might not be tempted to engage in mass murder of drug dealers and rapists.
As with abortion, we can easily hide the reality of this from ourselves, just as we have hidden the dehumanizing and brutalizing influence of a hellish philosophy which pretends the gates of prison are barred forever.

Anisotropy (/ˌænaɪˈsɒtrəpi/) is the property of being directionally dependent, as opposed to isotropy which implies identical properties in all directions. It can be defined as a difference, when measured along different axes, in a material's physical property (absorbance, refractive index, density, etc.) An example of anisotropy is the light coming through a polarizer. An example of an anisotropic material is wood, which is easier to split along its grain than against it.

Part 1: A striking Resemblance between Communism and the Cobb-Douglas Function
The impossibility of individuals to compete against industrial scale production is widely recognizable as the Communists' basic explanation of the capacity of elites to secure their rule. The Communist Manifesto thundered that Decreasing returns to scale characterizes the vast power of the Industrialist. Though they could build accumulate wealth with the coerced labor of laborors, the human input could be more efficiently directed towards the myriad interests of the workers themselves.
With stark and forceful language, the communists announced the power of the 'Burgeois' was also structural flaw of their dominance.
The moral preferences of the Communist, on the other hand, imply that optimal allocation of resources should reflect the wants of the masses. Since human beings have value, and are implicitly much alike, it is a moral outrage for so much resources to be devoted to the interests of the few.
"In proportion as the bourgeoisie, i.e., capital, is developed, in the same proportion is the proletariat, the modern working class, developed — a class of labourers... These labourers, who must sell themselves piecemeal...(ch4)"
u(x,y)= k*X^a*Y^(1-a)
Both the moral and economic rhetoric of the Communist Manifesto is readily expressed in terms of a Cobb-Douglas function. The inefficiency of over-investment is the mechanism of the downfall of the seemingly unstoppable power of industry, because they argue, same engine could be applied more efficiently by the masses, who could set it about it's own destruction, than a regime could organize to preserve itself.
In a douglas-Cobb model, the most efficient allocation of resources is a constant ratio of the inputs. The communists explicitly identified the proletariat with commodities, and clearly implied that if the resources increase, the amount devoted to each would increase likewise. In effect, the moral obligation to be envious of those better off helped reinforce the certainty that they could be torn down.
The reason is simple: The two elements of communism: Eliminating Ownership and Distribution of Resources are mathematically two facets of the same intution.

Two objectives of communism: Eliminating Ownership and Distribution of Resources are straightforward consequences of a simple formal structure, heterogenetity of which is scale dependent. (So they know, say, bargain, remain pointedly silent on)

But Muslims enjoy peace where war is not required by Allah. They enjoy paradise where war is required by Allah. So it is that war and paradise are perfect substitutes, and for the religion and soul of Islam, it takes upon itself to gague when which is which..

You cannot kill a man who is dead.
That is why I will not venture to gainsay claims to have died upon the operating table. The only medicine that has ever brought the dead to life was spittle, and that has only been done once.
One has to admire the attempts by Islamicists to kill dead Americans by this same method:

The widespread belief that Western technology will save us, in my eyes deeply naive. "-Mark Steyn
"Wars are always settled at the negotiating table. This is a trite observation. Taken in isolation - as these 'diplomats' would - it would suggest that the causality is reversed. Perhaps regardless of the strategic conditions, those with less will to fight, those who are more willing to negotiate, are to be the victors.
Indeed, by this logic, surrender is the optimal strategy. Perhaps those who withdraw their weapons and put forward their slick thinkers are always the victor. The question is whose terms on which they will be settled. Surely those who want peace submmit. Submission is the path to peace...
[Redacted] In this sense, your logic is impeccable. Let us lay down our arms. Let us be the ones to accede to fear. Surely weakness will serve our interest - which is peace at all costs, peace in our time. "

George Orwell's 1984 and of Huxley's "Brave New World" tried to paint sobering pictures of totalitarian possibilities. I dare say that their works, though touching upon permanent themes, have lost their cautionary power.
Indeed, by now we've forgotten enough to require renewed skepticism about their diagnosis, by extension, realism inaa expectation

I don't think the evidence indicated in the IPCC data suggests that humans cannot affect climate. Bjorn Lomborg is far closer to the heart of the matter when he argues that the poverty of suppressing economic activity would cause more suffering and relieve less heat than something so simple as painting city pavements a lighter shade of grey. The theoretical increase in deaths by heat - even if prevention were neglected - would be outnumbered by the decreases in deaths from the cold.
Even blind acceptance of worst-case climate models is not identical to accepting the solutions proposed by the radical lobbies. Nor does denying the larger plurality of ecological models - as do many conservatives - entail that people are unwilling to take steps to secure themselves against the effects of changing environments.
It is very similar to the circumstances which pitted the well being of the bald eagle against the distant Africans threatened by the mosquitos most easily controlled by DDT. The environmental lobby carefully measured the thickness of eagle eggs, and found their preservation more important than the lives DDT could save from Malaria - A disease that has killed more human beings than has war.

for the elaborate affectations of memory whose effects are present, though not in the status of knowing.
Such things are often renditioned by poets of the modern era. High times enough, prosperous, to take the liberty of artfully not knowing, bona fide social strata, the authentic pretense of knowledge with influence to be made by leaving it to the audience to decide what it is you were supposed to be doing. Some were good at it. And the best made money - at which art? Few know it. Many paid into them. To their estates. To associates and progeny, blind loyalty to a fleeting madness of decadance: now showing, saturday night live! This night only, seven decades running.
And it was not unknowing. As I confessed to the priest of whose confidence I could be most confident: I've learned the truth since I was five or four. Haven't been the same since - "is that common", I asked. "Some do" he said.
Which was reassuring of the normality- to neurotics -to be sure, although I come to think, it's a peculiar age not to be familiar with. (Careful with your punctuation. You might have unpracticed syntax lungs panting. You won't set their heart aflame by dousing it with the cold elixers of silicone spring. Let's hope he knows how to handle the thing.) I'll be out and out in my scorn of the pious age-determined tetotallers. And who knows, you might have anticipated that there was a means to date it. But only as a deletable signature here. http://defenddemocracy.org/testimony/why-the-west-needs-to-open-its-eyes-to-irans-intentions says the following:
"The French, who would undoubtedly like a deal, are quite familiar with Iranian nuclear mendacity from their earlier experience between 2003 and 2005 negotiating with Rouhani and his then deputy nuclear-negotiator, and now Iranian foreign minister, Mohammad Zarif. They are much less confident that a technical algorithm can solve what is a strategic problem, which is the essential nature and conduct of the regime."...
The use of chemical weapons, the agents of their introduction into populated areas, are far from clear save by the consensus of interested party's accounts - though sober western leaders can appreciate either side could prove capable of such acts, and it has been suggested that the government was not in control of all the materials.
"Not that anyone blames Mr. Cameron [For compromising stance towards Iran] after President Obama’s own walk-back from military strikes when Assad crossed the chemical redline."
" "The Iranian nuclear game is to compromise on the elements of the program they've already perfected in order to gain time on the elements they haven't," says Mark Dubowitz of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies. "They've perfected enrichment so they can suspend it for the time being. What they've gained in exchange is time to work on advanced centrifuge R&D. The more efficient the centrifuges, the fewer they need; the fewer they need, the easier they are to hide."" Mark Dubowitz above
But if anyone made real news from the ["United Nations"] General Assembly's green-marble podium it was Iranian President Hasan Rouhani. The fabled Iranian moderate's unsubtle message: You'll play by our rules now.
"The people of Iran," he said, "cannot place trust in any security cooperation between their government and those who have...." and etc...

I| say: While one is bound by human decency to feel compassion for thwarted reformers, the challenges of reform would still remain if they overthrew Assad. The ISIS' temporary cooperation with reformers promises nothing for either party beyond destabilizing regime dominance. This inherent in revolutions and rapid transitions of power
It is very painful and difficult road ahead for Syria. . If the Arab Spring was ever really understood as a moment of promise, our simplistic hopes about government Reform about syria will never be identical to Syrians plans and hopes for themselves.
Please Canadians! We don't want to send ground troops, we don't have a definite stake in who wins, and we don't have a plan to follow through on our stated purpose. We can't know our friends because we fear villains they want to kill!
If I was a Syrian, would I depend on support from Canada and the rest of our reluctant coalition? Absolutely not Consider: from the outset, domestic political appetites determine our strategy, not the ostensible mission of destroying the likes of ISIS. We cannot be relied upon by potential allies. It's evident that our enemies will stay in Syria longer than we do. They measure their struggle in generations, not election cycles..
And just who are these friends we trust enough to fight for? "Moderates" ally with vicious terrorists to fight different moderates and different totalitarians. American efforts to support a democratic revolution has not overthrown the Syrian state, although it resulted in funneling weapons to terrorists.
Beyond containing the dangers such as those Syrian and Iraqi society has cultivated, we don't care about the people living there. We don't even have the stomach to follow through on our stated objectives. Oh sure, we'll drop bombs for a while, destroying infrastructure our loyal friends assure us are full of bad people. Afterward, we'll survey the destruction carried out for their benefit and watch our patient foe regather strength.

@The Missing Moderate I'm not saying religions necessarily create coercion and violence. It is very easy to see religious teachings play both an aggravating role and also a source of enmity. There are innumerable conflicts of all sizes which had religious dimensions. In the case of Jihad, it is an overarching religious project with military origination and cohercive prescriptions
I noted 2 reasons I incorrectly iden someone would come to your conclusion [human nature, not religion].
1. commitment to religion which admits no fault.
or 2a. Ignorance / naiveté
2b. Panglossian platitudes proffered of politeness.
On a general level, religious movements can obviously foster conflict by virtue of being an immoveable conviction, or source of unstoppable zeal . For another, it is a tribal identifier which confers moral or spiritual distinction from the unbelievers. Yet I say more. I say religions often prove most dangerous by the content of their teachings, the conduct of their great leaders and exemplars of behavior.

It's sometimes hard to judge how seriously one intends to be taken given how malleable personas are on digital media. Dissecting the tensions and contradictions within an argument is different from exposing the content of a person's character. Our medium is a better conduit for the expression of impulse than manifestation of character. Twitter is nothing like the robbin hoppline, dancing sideways, while her mate swooping about she keeps a hard eye out for some promising evidence of a large withdrawing worm in the soil.
Becuse of course, the meta-data isn't the social science. To the extent moralty is construed is a social construction, social maladies will be interpreted in terms of their cure. That is, unless the interpretation is on the part of the privileged classes - originators of these ideas as they are - in which case their self-awareness makes them see that the problem can be solved by re-interpreting their own position. Rather than their privilege originating in divine ordinance or natural superiority, they have attributed it to circumstance. Cultivating circumstances which virtuous and beneficial influences predominate will reduce inordinant influence of 'default', as opposed to factors such as achievement.

What if one were to appropriate those terms, so society can operate on our terms? Would that perhaps reallocate resources, prestige and opportunity? On the theory of accidental positioning, we could transpose values, reallocate weath and prestige with much the same result. The only difference would be the ascendent group.
Why, couldn't we all share in this prosperity?
From a simple premise about history I've drawn the outline of a revolutionary idea: communism. The essential connections between disparate concepts are all there, to be explored later.
"When we talk of identity, we often think of groups such as black Muslim lesbians in wheelchairs. This is because identity only seems to become an issue when it is challenged or under threat. "
This psychological fact surely stems from the homeostatic imperatives of survival. There is nothing like the prospect of the guillotine to underline the importance of our necks.
The proceedings, in short, pertain to progressing progressives' progress unfettered by the environmentally hazardous buren of disposing their own synechdoche away with the rest of the wastewater of history. The analytic irrationality must be disposed of with a generous allocation of humor, since post-conservative preservation of mindless orthodoxy demands the enormous sort of mindfulness that can embrace what was once derided as hysterical while still enjoying the benefits of hysterectomy.
Irresponsible males must be carefully weaned from the phallic anchor of patriarchy. With careful nurturing of intelligently designed education systems and the inducement proffered of love freed from the bondage of monogamy, there is hope that masculinity can evolve towards societal responsibility - or at least be hastened to extinction.
It being unthinkable to challenge this orthodoxy, the task then is to reconcile ourselves to it.
[in connection to social construction of reality and the problems within it being guided by our desire] Sufferage defined the problem of male dominance, and sexual liberation guided the solution to the corrolary problem of pregnancy.
Putting it another way, if morality is a social construction, than so too are the problems of morality. Paradoxically, to be intellectually rigorous and sophisticated, they must grapple with the perplexity of having defined out-dated problems according to their up-to-date solutions[attainment of animal desire]

Subject of Hypocrisy. Corruption and the corruption which immunizes the ego and public persona from it:
Personal foibles are used to make stigma out of virtue and vindicate lunacy with error. Yes, it remains a potent rhetoric which demands an answer of some kind, even when applied irrelevantly, even if the accusation only one in a repoitoire of hackneyed feints.
But what hypocrisy can there be if the nobility of our ulterior motive is codicil to both our public and private agenda?, does good natured irony make unobjectionable?
the rectitude does not merely excuse hypocrisy, but render the charge meaningless. With each layer of caveats armoring our principles, a lack of integrity becomes easier to absorb, more difficult to prove. So easily defeasible now, we can revel in such decadence as we see fit. We can turn our torturers horried arms against the torturer.
Can Irony have disarmed hypocrisy? does compromised integrity guard ego against its damnation or ensure it

== Each component of the Default Male role – his gender, his class, his age and his sexuality – confines him to an ever narrower set of behaviours, until riding a bicycle or growing a beard, having messy hair or enjoying a pint are seen as ker-azy eccentricity. The fashionable members’ club Shoreditch House, the kind of place where “creatives” with two iPhones and three bicycles hang out, has a “No Suits” rule. How much of this is a pseudo-rebellious pose and how much is in recognition of the pernicious effect of the overgrown schoolboy’s uniform, I do not know.
I dwell on the suit because I feel it exemplifies how the upholders of Default Male values hide in plain sight. Default Men would flounder and complain that they were not being treated with “respect”.==

I feel rude mentioning the black-clad elephant in the room. I sense that I am the anthropologist allowed in to the tribal ritual.[cf above in his room to look at edifice]**
I have heard many of the “rational” (ie, male) arguments against quotas and positive discrimination but I feel it is a necessary fudge to enable just change to happen in the foreseeable future. At the present rate of change it will take more than a hundred years before the UK parliament is 50 per cent female.
"The outcry against positive discrimination is the wail of someone who is having their privilege taken away." The outcry is the wail of someone who sees the replacement of achievement with identity. It is the establishment of power for who someone is, not their potentil contribiton

The tools of statistical analysis sharpness consist in statistically predictable biases of being overly reliant on a particular domain of self assurance. It easily may prove the value of human life as we learn hopefully not too often a little late. Stalin proved this already. I should now turn my eyes to behold the prototype of the metacontrol empires.

" The Great White Male’s combination of good education, manners, charm, confidence and sexual attractiveness (or “money”, as I like to call it) means he has a strong grip on the keys to power.

"He's no right not to feel the internal compulsions that drive the rest of us." And NO DOUBT the schizoid is a liability for tyrants. So dangerous are they. Sitting there.
The psychiatric profession is peopled with people people, not schizoid recluses. If there is depression, try those pills. If there is need of skills, coach the skills. Use your strengths! Don't be SO surprised to disagree with with the value of their personality!
I have serious doubts as to whether this really is an independent disease.
The schizoid pseudo-diagnosis is more accurately characterized as a loose association of traits, all 7 of the criteria is operationally influenced by social relations. So
Take for instance, indifference to praise or criticism: Hardly a dispensable attribute for the socially isolated who intend to persist in the face of hostility. However, for those to whom no one is listening, it would be, shall we say, a pantomime to be outrged. What serves for the nations to rally, facilitate methods of self-preservation. For the lonely, whether or not they know it, it's just a shaking fist beneath the heavens.
When habits are maladaptive, for god's sake, do use your magnificent talents! By all means give social coaching, for indispensible maladies like depression dispense pills, press encouragement for discouragement. The well-hedge diagnostic guidelines incline me to doubt the validity of this diagnosis. It should be occasion for doubt that the presciptions of the method, have no real guidance from the definition..
Armed with sedatives and batteries of psychiatric credentials, the complacent psychiatric profession will by no means be influenced by opinions of those without friends.(Important are those who are in turn important because of their friends...)
However, someone's got to say when the majority hasn't got their pieces in order, or when a mob's motivations become divergent from reality .
Who may be called for this ill paid endeaver? Schizoids? If so, we ill serve them with the stigma of disease.
To say the state of lonliness is unholy is erroneous religiosity. The essences of Solitudes are among the hardest facts of maturity. The time I've spent among the dying has persuaded me that it is a noble attainment, and if not worth anything to you, is part of life's fullfillment.. Isolation from the press of society is one form, the tenuous mob of car drivers, with their layer of indifference just another.
Schizoid hunger: This is a phenomenon detailed by Jeffrey Seinfeld (New York University), who published reports that schizoids seek out sexual pursuits to fill voids of emotional hunger, loneliness, and emptiness.

One of my recurrent sources of paranoia is the debasement of ideals by devotion to them. I mention this in anticipation of linking the theme.
I once took as an article of faith that yearning for truth was a universal human trait, a paramount value. Religion instilled this conviction in me, since God is truth and God is the purpose and the good of all life.
"Scientific" atheism did not much alter my faith in the catholicism of Truth. It was beneath consideration to see truth as just another "value" - a disparaging synonym for "preference", implying chauvenism.*** As Marx wrote "The selfish misconception that induces you to transform into eternal laws of nature and of reason, the social forms springing from your present mode of production and form of property"
Embryonically engrained, the embodiment of this intuition embedded in the word, it's power is so central to modern civilization our very technologies of deception do it homage. What of those who really don't care so much? The disregard of truth, undisputed, is readily forgotten, well selected, simplifying, "socially begotten" on levels where rational evaluation is irrelegant because we are scarce capable.
Yet it pained me to find I could not seal my soul against the doubt.

At first blush it's tempting to focus on the hypocrisy, one can easily point out that people like Maher themselves probably look up the unemployment rate only they have a specific reason to do so.
There are far more than 5% of people who might be working productively but aren't. The *labor force participation rate* is something like 62%. Something more fundamental is going on in the economy than unemployment narrowly defined, and people feel it. Maher's wryly humorous hypocrisy shouldn't distract us from the meaning of the numbers.
Empirical observation is not about relying on parroted statistics - even if they are "authoritative". Isn't the scientific method so authoritative precisely because nature not institutions is the fundamental source of evidence? Science involves developing a clear conceptual understanding of the issue and establishing real, physical, observational connections to test it.
Relying on parroted statistics, while they trumphet the narrative that science has evolved in contrast to institutional authority.
Specific statistics
***Can we overlook the influence of philosophy when there is talk of sexism, or racism or homophobia? Traditionalists take affront to gay marriage as though it were an insult to truth itself. Truth, to them, is the basis for the regime, and Pursuits of personal fulfillment define the relationships civil. As freud observed, civilization modulates the competetive aspects of love by the sacrifice of individual sexual satisfaction. Binding reproduction to civic society is a mechanism against the formation of clanish schisms within society.
It is a real problem of how to bind love of what one's own to the love of a larger society which enables prosperity. Restraints on behaviors like masturbation and homosexuality arise because many kinds of self love can reinforce socially problematicals.
I do not assume that sexual discrimination and repression are the only or best or good solutions. The often absurd cruelty of sexual mores and other of the "discontents" of civilization, do not arise from nowhere. Indeed, evolutionary hypotheses of homosexual subpopulation morphology as forming social advantageous equilibria. One could guess propotion of breeding-subpopulation. Perhaps horizontal bonds among different groups of people which otherwise would not solidify are facilitated.
To naive ears, this may sound like bigoted scapegoating, but really, the portrait I paint does not even wander from the cambridge circle. It was not merely because sexual minorities were shunned that they were courted by soviets and Marxist ideologues. The self-similar preoccupation could be a destabalizing force.
The power structure of a regime, in majority of instances, is preserved through reform ofmisguided practice through reform. It is not a flaw a revolutionary seeks to remedy, and the revolution's purposes is not justified by the values it seeks to overthrow. They offer a cure to ineradicable flaws of human nature, for their ambition is to remake human nature.
Marxism taught society is organized in the service of the ruling classes, whose ascendancy is contingent on historical accident. Such philosophers hoped to effect radical social re-organization. Sexual liberation was enthusiastically embraced by Marxists. To replace a regime is by it's nature to reshape how personal gratification is regulated.
The communists hoped for a the mass redistributing of choice. In Marx's formulation "The abolition of existing sexual relations", disdaining to conceal the aim of making medicine public and abortion medical.
"If anywhere they unite to form more compact bodies, this is not yet the consequence of their own active union, but of the union of the bourgeoisie, which class, in order to attain its own political ends, is compelled to set the whole proletariat in motion, and is moreover yet, for a time, able to do so. " -Marx
"This organisation of the proletarians into a class, and, consequently into a political party, is continually being upset again by the competition between the workers themselves. "-Marx
The perplexing mistreatment of sexual minorities was perceived as evidence for historicism. The resources of society are allocated depending on the objective or purpose. If egotism is permitted to define the objectives, the collective cannot be the final beneficiary.
"This organisation of the proletarians into a class, and, consequently into a political party, is continually being upset again by the competition between the workers themselves. "-The Communist Manifesto
If, rather than the betterment of a happy few, one could reorganize resources for the happiness of all minorities and material properity of the masses.
There is no such thing as a "true" purpose, but if power is directed exclusively towards collectivly sharing resources, all humanity could be better off. The trouble, as always, is the inherent egotism human nature. There is a way to combine the benefits of collectivizing resources, without the problem of selfish purposes. Specifically, for a total upending of the power structure. Resources must be allocated in the common interests of humanity - a motive incompatible with the bourgeois, attainable by few. "the progress of dissolution going on within the ruling class... a small section of the ruling class.... holds the future in its hands....who have[i] raised themselves[/i] to the level of comprehending theoretically the historical movement as a whole. "
and readily seized upon as a source of resentment against the establishment. Postmodern ideology promises to remove arbitrary constraints on sexual fulfilment. . by reinventing the purpose of society.
To harmonize what is good for ego with what is ealthy for society requires unequal compromises of personal interest, and imperfect collective health. If the collective health becomes the sole objective, there need be no constraints on pleasures which do not restrain collective ends. Exclusivity of breeding strains, sexual partnerships and, small artisans providing private service are no longer permissible, "...the peasant, all these fight... to save from extinction their existence...they are reactionary, for they try to roll back the wheel of history."-TCM
,but collective breeding programs, sexual prolifigacy and mass slavery are mandatory.
"The proletarian is without property; his relation to his wife and children has no longer anything in common with the bourgeois family relations; modern industry labour, modern subjection to capital, the same in England as in France, in America as in Germany, has stripped him of every trace of national character. Law, morality, religion, are to him so many bourgeois prejudices"-tcm
" The proletarians cannot become masters of the productive forces of society, except by abolishing their own previous mode of appropriation, and thereby also every other previous mode of appropriation. They have nothing of their own to secure and to fortify; their mission is to destroy all previous securities for, and insurances of, individual property. "-TCM
Take the example of a matrix used to represent the behavior of various active objects together, or the use of lethal force to rectify a damaging pattern of behavior. The former can provide useful statistics even if the meaning of the measures is ignored. That intuition can only crudely simulate social science data, the statiatical validity becomes more important than knowing the truth about the reality of what Is going on. Now, for the intellectual, of course they can understand the scientific ambiguities, but to be able to proffer results as authoritative, critical analysis a procedure that is time-skill expensive, and unimpressive in the course of argumenttion
"The theoretical conclusions of the Communists are in no way based on ideas or principles that have been invented, or discovered, by this or that would-be universal reformer.
They merely express, in general terms, actual relations springing from an existing class struggle, from a historical movement going on under our very eyes. "
but is not sexual liberation propounded as such?

Telling people what they don't want to hear is the crux of free speech. The whole point is insults, something which small minds will never understand. Flattery, telling people what they wanted to hear, has always been permissible even among the primitives and savages the world over. Free speech is in danger not because we insult, but because weak kneed cowards are cowed as soon as they are physically threatened.
Not because your poor tender feelings are hurt. Brush it off big fella, because if you think freedom of speech is a bad thing ( which you clearly do, since you denounce it's only relevant application), I'm sure you'll love how much bloodshed there will be in the "peace" of "submission".

As the frail rise up among the rubble, wolves' exquisitly ears are especially heightened to the utmost at the sound of weakness in quiet struggle. Any sound of unsteady steps, labored breathing, especially the hissing in to hide it, dead giveaway at even the smallest volumes.
Through the foliage I saw over grass. A shadow moving towards me is visble against the sidewalk in the distance. Perhaps a leaf, a bird, no a mouse, yes, it's... a rabit. Preoccupied with it's effort, it sped along not noticing me. We think of rabits as timid creatures. But what I saw was a heart brimming with courage in it's race, the rabbit child and I ran towards each other. The rabit takes alarm as sharply as it hears, it freezes but as it stops to better listen, I stand frozen. The rabbit child can see 360 degrees, it looks at me, any possible escapes and hiding places it scans motionlessly. I smoothly spiral away before it decides it is altogether unhidden, it's life exposed upon the sidewalk.

One legend tells that the rabbit is very wise despite his obvious vulnerabilities. He was once being run down by the wolf, who had greater strength, high speed and endurance. Wolf spared no effort, (Wanted posters were put up by all the wolf pack. Going went door to door with tracts describing a known associate of the big Chief, strings and strings of shells on beads for the death of the trickster who knows the forest well.
Rabbit realizes he is being hunted as always: Jumping startled as if given a high voltage shock. Being careful not to rub against plants, he hops to break up the trail of scent. To faintly smell each hop the wolf must walk spiraling out from the last hop or else constantly double back.
Rabbits depend on high strung anxiety to avoid danger. Myths say Rabbits have enemies in all directions, and even their friends are somewhat vexed by them.

assessing tensely any source of motion, at the first sign of alarm fleeing alarm. But because the wolf growls out, clawe barred, and the man stands in stillness in the night man is hunter of both wolves and rabbits.
"For every moment of triumph, for every instance of beauty, many souls must be trampled." Hunter S Thompson
Just a twist of the English language and our erstwhile comrades are free again from any human principles. Above all, the freedom of speech of those who we are resolute to ignore, must be upheld. for those to whom no one is listening, nothing could so inspire anger in a tyranny than to hold this as their freedom.
Free speech is in danger not because we insult, but because it's easy to go weak kneed and cower at being really metaphysically threatened.

If you'll overlook my unsolicited rudness, I'll omit tact in my response to what I figure is literally aspeech addressing this addressor's addressees,
I recall as if yesterday the ways I could remember what was happening then. Oh, the golden days, when edible leaves were so valuable they were left uneaten, meat was ruby and water was hydronium.
All saints day is when the innocent are told that sinner's souls are stolen by the most god-forsaken demons in all of creation. These fabrications are sold to children in exchange for candies.
Sadism delights in generosity, and hungers for the perfection of souls. In pursuit of it, they climb to the lips of towering crevaces from which the blessed are flung into heaven. The Saints sell their bodies to satan as bait, to see that proper ones are damned. The more atrocious the crimes their sactimony inspires, the more cosmic real-estate there is to be gained.
This, your ticket to rapture is their entrance to the to the sulpherous pits of Hell! AH HAHAHAHA.
So, Following the example of Jesus, let us embrace the haptophobic, and open up the horizons of the agoraphobic.

There is no statute of limitation on responsible citizenship. There are no little people any longer. Everyone is on the record, and has no prospect of being other than so. The prediction of behavior will follow the very descendants of those judged by their breeding trainer's strains by whom will deem themselves fit, hands that wash themselves fit to guide to breed and scythe. The irrevocable biological shift is remarkably obvious, so much so the historians will overlook how explicitly we acknowledge even though what is seen will remain accessible for so long, as may recur the forgettable obvious.
I heard disappointing news through my artistic instincts It bore upon their social circles, the theaterical articulations carry decadant strains of voyeurism, pathetic less than lewd. If chance you light upon my meaning too, you'll see suchg graven dances unfolding in the ordinariness of the conduct of our rituals. You'll see the old stories trademarked, patented, told so distinctively it clouds history and seems forever new.

I'm not really seeing what the term "scientific evidence" would mean on that "infinite[a loaded term if ever there was one]" ground. Sam Harris may be open to reconsidering his views on scientific evidence, but it's a philosophical point whether what is omnipresent is omnipotent, even if the omnipresent is the omnipotent. (Little etymological pun there. To explain if you didn't follow: There is a finite amount of energy in finite areas of space, by scientific inference, but all power, every watt, even if that power were finite, it would constitute all power: (hence omnipotent.) So the omnipotent is not omnipresent. On the god side, what is attributed to gods is simply a term of arbitrarily great power. That is, they give no information about the nature of that power or it's connection with "natural power" - a distinction which is made by monotheist as opposed to panthesitic narratives. In fact, the monotheistic paradigm is better explained in terms of competition between sects. (The cry, allahu ackbar is "our god is GREATER"). The philosophical questions of god's existence are really of less evidentiary concern than the social origins of these memetic organisms.

That picture of the mountains and sky behind the green valley is amazing photography - really all of these show that photography really is an art unto itself. The spires of the mountains tower over the church and into the clouds, a temple within a temple.
I've never seen any place which has been inhabited by humans for a long time. You can see the effects of people in the trails, the stonework. (I'm also told people in italy are among the best dressed in the world.)

Sergiu Hancila I got my brother Hitchen's memoirs for Christmas. God, that man loved tobacco too much. Ain't the only one I loved who died too young because of the Red man's revenge. Damn I miss him. And thanks were given by europe. What they need is to remember what the price of pretending our enemy is our friend, and not defending our friends. Maajid may have an implicit price on his head, but they would pay for every fucking hair that is so much as out of place. The thing is to remember to remember that we'll forget we forgot. Once we remember to remember we forgot we forgot, the poppy pin will prick us, and by Darwin there will be blood.n

So her father asked, "On which cheek did did he slap you?"
"He slapped my left cheek."
So the father slapper his daughter on the right and said, "Be happy, I have avenged you. You can tell your husband that he has slapped my daughter, but I have slapped his wife"

When I got chased out of the bar, I was reading mellvilles the confidence man.
Baltimore
The confidence man: " Nothing better attests the advance of the humanitarian spirit. In former and less humanitarian ages—the ages of amphitheatres and gladiators—geniality was mostly confined to the fireside and table. But in our age—the age of joint-stock companies and free-and-easies—it is with this precious quality as with precious gold in old Peru, which Pizarro found making up the scullion's sauce-pot as the Inca's crown. Yes, we golden boys, the moderns, have geniality everywhere—a bounty broadcast like noonlight."
"True, true; my sentiments again. Geniality has invaded each department and profession. We have genial senators, genial authors, genial lecturers, genial doctors, genial clergymen, genial surgeons, and the next thing we shall have genial hangmen."
"As to the last-named sort of person," said the cosmopolitan, "I trust that the advancing spirit of geniality will at last enable us to dispense with him. No murderers—no hangmen. And surely, when the whole world shall have been genialized, it will be as out of place to talk of murderers, as in a Christianized world to talk of sinners." [276] "Well, assuming the saying's truth, it would apply to the future supremacy of the genial spirit, since then it will fare with the hangman as it did with the weaver when the spinning-jenny whizzed into the ascendant. Thrown out of employment, what could Jack Ketch turn his hand to? Butchering?"
"That he could turn his hand to it seems probable; but that, under the circumstances, it would be appropriate, might in some minds admit of a question. For one, I am inclined to think—and I trust it will not be held fastidiousness—that it would hardly be suitable to the dignity of our nature, that an individual, once employed in attending the last hours of human unfortunates, should, that office being extinct, transfer himself to the business of attending the last hours of unfortunate cattle. I would suggest that the individual turn valet—a vocation to which he would, perhaps, appear not wholly inadapted by his familiar dexterity about the person. In particular, for giving a finishing tie to a gentleman's cravat, I know few who would, in all likelihood, be, from previous occupation, better fitted than the professional person in question.""
...
"I trust I am never otherwise," was the mildly earnest reply; "but talking of the advance of geniality, I [277] am not without hopes that it will eventually exert its influence even upon so difficult a subject as the misanthrope."
"A genial misanthrope! I thought I had stretched the rope pretty hard in talking of genial hangmen. A genial misanthrope is no more conceivable than a surly philanthropist."
